With big plans to call Portugal home soon, it only felt right to head out for Malle’s first ever event on Portuguese soil. A dustbowl canyon just outside Lisbon set the scene — sketchy terrain, golden light, and a backdrop made for film stills.
Riders and spectators rolled in from all over for a weekend of racing, music, art, questionable decisions, and even more questionable hill climbs. Things kicked off with the 100km Arrábida Rally — foggy coastal roads, a pit stop at Cabo Espichel Sanctuary, and just enough mystery to make it feel like a pilgrimage. Then the sun came out… and the chaos began.
From vintage scramblers to desert-ready beasts and everything in between, bikes tore through sand as crowds lined the hills, beers in hand, cheering on friends, strangers, and anyone brave enough to keep the throttle pinned. It felt less like a race weekend, more like a dusty, roaring family reunion.
